Begin With the End in Mind

For all those who are doing "The End is Nigh", "begin with the end in mind" is one of Steven Covey's famous "The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People", a book I really like and recommend.
The whole concept is one of attitude. Covey uses the concept of a eulogy, and what you would want people to say about you once you are gone.
Going for a less morbid approach, imagine yourself in retirement, sitting around with the grand-kids or grand-nieces and grand-nephews talking about your life.
Would you rather be talking about all the things you wished you'd done, or would you rather be talking about all the glorious accomplishments?
That's the concept. The End is Nigh challenge gets it just right, where we make a list of what we want to finish. Imagine basking in the accomplishment at the end of the challenge.
Finishing something you start is one of the great joys in life, and the more you do it, the more it becomes a habit and the more you accomplish.
All the best on your "The End is Nigh" challenge!

That is interesting cottreau, and very true. Funerals nowadays are referred to as 'a celebration of the deceased's life.' Usually we meet people at different stages of their lives, and we most often stick with people of our own age. I love listening to the background of the person that's passed on, and often surprised what some have done in their lives. My husband is of retirement age, but still working, he still has a lot to offer in his teaching capacity. I am not far off myself, but have tried doing a number of things, and still have many more to do. Recently I obtained a diploma in Dramatic Arts, working with 18, 20's and 30 year olds, they taught me a lot, and I gave as much back to them. I think I was the oldest student at the Polytechnic at the time. It is about attitude!
