Hope everyone is madly working on completing the tasks they set for themselves.
Congrats to everyone that give it a try!
Just remember you dont need a special month to get things done and small bits every week will help you get over the mountain of work most writers have.

Plus a big heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support, writing is a huge highs and lows type of experience and ANY positive support helps.

My idea of hell is being trapped in a room with no books!

I agree with Xengab, and would seriously compose an ode for the End is Nigh challenge - but my poetry brain is swamped somewhere in my prose/novel writing brain.

I'm blown away by the fact that I finished my manuscript, after years of it sitting on my hard drive. What a relief! I also don't think I would have finished it without those first weeks of dedication at the beginning of August. It showed me what I can do when I really dedicate myself to a work.

The support was great - the fact is when working hard I do tend to cut myself off, so the forum here was like a lifeline!

Here's to the End is Nigh! Big WOOT!

Yep, you guys rule. slushpile, that's amazing you've blown the dust off that old manuscript and tied it all up.

On a personal note, I'm going to have to take xengab's advice and just had a crack at finishing a few things on my own back since I didn't do very well during August. *andy looks ashamed* but at the same time, it's not getting me down since I managed to do and finish lots of other things that weren't writing related :-)

Good luck to anyone who carries on the challenge after August!
