My goals:
1.) Submit one piece of writing. (Might rework an old story or start from scratch, I dunno)
2.) Write and complete a short fanfic
3.) Fully plot a novel
4.) Start researching for IB Extended Essay ideas and decide on a topic.

I'm a bit vague about most of the writing as it depends on because I have no idea how much time I will have to finish it.

So far I have:
* started plotting for a story (but as new ideas are slowly coming to mind, not sure whether I'll throw away my plot for other ideas so far or keep it)

* Tried to start a fanfic, but as I am at day 5 already, and still only have about half a page, I'm thinking of doing a short one-shot or two-shot rather than a chapter-fanfic. I already have a vague idea what I could write instead, though.

* Decided to do EE on area of Psychology :) Now, just need to find a superviser and decide a research question...

Least you have started, I find plotting always to be loads of fun.
And NEVER throw away ideas, just write them down somewhere and sort through them when you need to write a story.
I am always telling someone a story idea, gotten to a point where I have run back and ask them what it was.. so as of today I am going to have a pbwiki with story ideas so they dont get lost and I can add to it anywhere.

I LOVE reading one shot fanfics, just being able to sit down and complete a story is a great feeling and from a readers POV I will not be waiting forever for the next chapter.
If you post it anywhere, let me know and I will read it. I seriously read anything I can.

Good Luck End is Nigh

Ack, haven't posted for a while...

1.) Right. I still haven't submitted anything yet, but I shall, fingers crossed.

2.) I have, however, started (and is about 1/4 way? haven't really plotted out the whole story yet) a fanfic for one of my favourite mangas, tsubasa reservoir chronicle. At the moment, it's called "The Reason To Protect", and including the title and brief summary, it's 1,016 words, and it's getting longer than I originally anticipated... quality-wise isn't too bad so far, so not much editing or rewriting needed yet (maybe that's why it's taking so much time to write that 1K). I daresay I will have to hurry to get it through to the end.

3.) Still at the ideas, drawing-board stage.

4.) Found a supervisor/teacher. Made a list of possible areas within psychology I could do. Need to narrow it down a BIIIT further, then it's just waiting to meet with my teacher to discuss the topics and choose one.

Whew. Sleepy............T_T

EDIT:
By the way, I'll just like to say thanks for the encouragement and for reading my posts and replying!! That means a HUGE lot to me even though I have been so inactive and silent lately >_<. I hope everyone's still doing well and finishing their Things!!! My best wishes to all of you whose threads I can't reply personally yet because I haven't managed my time well enough but I will!!! My thoughts to you all!!

I tend to think if someone hasn't been on the site for a while, it means two things:
1: Real life is butting in on your writing time. or
2: That they are busy getting on with their writing.
I like to manage both, but I am a social creature as well, or is it nosey, to see who's doing what?
You are doing well angeldreams. :)

Blegh. I feel like I haven't been here in centuries o_O Have lots of posts to catch up on!!

Summary of August for me:

1.) Submit one piece of writing. (Might rework an old story or start from scratch, I dunno)

Nope...^_^;;

2.) Write and complete a short fanfic

Wrote about half of one fanfic, which was lovely and fun to write, now to finish it...

3.) Fully plot a novel

Hmm. I did plot a bit, but kept going through a block (I had an idea, and have been trying to work on it all year, but keep changing my mind and having an inner editor throwing a fit at my plottings). Still a bit stuck on what to do...

4.) Start researching for IB Extended Essay ideas and decide on a topic.

Yay! I did this!! Well, I focused my topic on Educational Psychology, especially on how psychological concepts are applied in schools. I want to narrow it down to a specific essay question though.

Ahh, gotta go!!
Cya, and hope everyone here is doing well!!!

You got something done which is fantastic, well done :-) And like Kerryn says, feel free to ask for help with the plot problems, I am sure you'll get a few new ideas that way.
