Hmmm so far nilch. A term used on other writing sites by the younger ones is "faffing" and that's what I've been doing.
Beautiful spring day yesterday, so no writing, absorbed some sun.
Today however is back to winter, so stop faffing Gaye, and get on with finishing your JulNoWrimo beyond 50K story.
Let's see, 'Bronwyn and Robert were last seen viewing the Collessium in Rome. It is time they moved on to Milan.....'

You get brownie points for reading my story so you HAVE done something very helpful.

"faffing". I love it, so very apt. Now let's go to Milan. :)

How do Rob and Bronnie get from Milan back to New Zealand?
What's your estimated remaining word count now? It must have increased a bit, I think the last time you mentioned it there were about 1500 words to go (but that was before Milan).

Hulloooo everyone, no I didn't die, and I haven't done any writing. :(
Had distractions with Hubby off work. :)
Had to see Harry Potter with him, lunch in town. Went shopping, lunch in town.
Went to a model railway expo, lunch in town. Went to the the theatre, supper in town. He's making up for using my car at present.
Downloaded new security system, has taken me three days and three evenings, everything had to be updated, and comp needed big tune-up. Tomorrow I will don the baggy jersey, fleecy pants, slippers, and back to peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. :)
I think maybe I have completed one job, getting the computer into condition, as a tool for writing process.:)

Whew! I am getting thoroughly fed up.
Firstly the pup chewed into the flex connecting the computer to the phone. Had to be replaced. Installed a new security system which has been a saga in itself. Was fine Monday night (late) then today Tuesday it's turned to worms again. Uploaded to Internet Explorer 7 and it is so slow.
No writing done, Rob and Bron are still stuck in Milan, they should be in Paris by now!
I could write a book on these last few days. :(

Wow, that's annoying having to do all that for the computer. I had to speak to my brother the other night and tell him how to download and update various things. I wasn't happy after it and I wasn't even doing it!

Hope you can get something done tomorrow.

I think possibly the package I am using is for more update models Andy. Mine is a XP 2003, and this system is for the new XP 2 and vista types. Being a computer 'noddy' doesn't help, I just click this and that and follow directions.
Having a day in the garden, which revitalises my spirit, too nice a day to be inside. :)

Aha - a gardener and a computer whizz. What a skill set. I hope the weather wherever you are is holding out - up in Northland it's grey and drab. (Again. I guess it should encourage me to write.)

Also - our lovely border collie, as a puppy, once ate my friend's cellphone. Or at least, chewed it into useless pieces. Why do they choose such expensive chews toys and ignore the toys we buy for the purpose?

I love the term faffing. I think I may have a faff heap lying around somewhere!!

Weather is good, nor wester. They (whoever they are) keep telling us that we were supposed to have crap weather for the last week. So you go like mad to get outside for some fresh air, end up with sore limbs through doing too much.
The way it is in Southland adjust your jobs to fit with the weather.
Maybe do some writing on the weekend, supposed to get hurricane winds and heavy rain. Quite often hits Fiordland and we miss it. :)

Well finally got the finger out (our American and Canadian cousins may not know what that means, and I'm not going to explain.)
Have finished the julnowrimo story as far as it now has an ending, with almost 3,000 words, but I have to do about 3,000 again, as lost it, had trouble with the save system, So won't be long before finished that.
Will change a bit in my Zing Thing, that Cassie suggested, so that will be finished this month.
Have passed it on to friends for a bit of light entertainment and they have enjoyed it. :)

Come to a writing halt again. Given up the garden recreating a 'Busket', it's flooded.
Now doing scrapbooking.
Too many creative urges going in different directions at the moment. :)
Still as a student, always had my assignments in on time.
While Kerryn's away, the mice will play. :) (Holiday envy!)

Ha, well done gaye, it's always nice to be creative no matter what the subject.

I like this quote which is quite apt in this situation:

"Creative work is play. It is free speculation using materials of one's chosen form"

Done it. Finished the Julnowrimo 50K word story by finishing it with another 5,346 words. :)
It also completes the augnowrimo challenge of 5k words. :)
Now will have a look at the zing thing to change a bit, as suggested by a kiwiwriter. :)

Well cassie, I am not like some of you guys that started these writing challenges as long as you, so didn't have a lot to finish.
Still have done a quota of 17,000 words since June over four challenges, so brain and eyes need a break until the next one. :)
Had a good day Sadey, mild day for winter, with a puppy and chickens to help me. :)
