So you're going to finish a story in August. With two days to go the one piece of preparation you should do is:

Find your story!

Is it saved somewhere on an old hard drive, a new hard drive, in your email? Did you print it out and stash it away it a drawer?

If you're completing more than one thing which one will you start with? Or will you work on all of them at once?

Yep, got mine. I always know where my files are :-)

But, my preparation really should be to actually read it, since my memory isn't so hot with stuff like that! Anyways, maybe I'll start tomorrow night so I'm at least part way into it for Wednesday.

Just like to point out a few ways people can acess their stories at various computers.
www.pbwiki.com (can be private or public)
Gmail- google documents
(I think various emails now let you store files, and its a great way to keep a back up.)
Email yourself the document.
USB storage, great things to carry around but they can and do break.

My idea of hell is being trapped in a room with no books!
