Enforced earlier deadline?

I am also aiming at having my novel submitted earlier than the end of the year, hoping for mid-October or earlier so that it's out of the way, would be nice to have it out of my hands a month or so before bubs is due - by that time I think I'll be wanting to focus mostly on the impending arrival.
