What is one thing you're going to do in May to get yourself closer to publication?

I'm hoping to do two things:
- revise the scene outline for my rewrite
- write at least 10,000 words on said rewrite

Good goals! I'm also going to work on my editing, though I need a much more specific plan of attack that the vague 'work on my editing' thing...
So I'll repost tomorrow once that plan is laid!

Hmm, as University is still trying to kill me I'll keep things simple.

Goal for May:
- read the whole novel through and see where it needs most work

Just found this thread, and almost the end of May. I have had a big month at work with the May Arts Festival here, with an exhibition of our own, checking out others, attending performing arts, music, and writing workshops. So haven't done any writing. Feeling rather full of culture though. :)

How is everyone progressing with their May goals?

I've updated the scene outline and my total word count is sitting at around 34,500 now. It's a long way off from the 40,000 I should be reaching to have written 10K this month but I've decided to continue with Freeing the Flame for SoCNoC so I'm not too disappointed with my progress.

I rewrote the first chapter which was giving me so much grief... setting up for the changes which need to be made throughout the story. So that was something at least.
