Waitangi Day is on the 6th February and commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between the European settlers and local Maori in New Zealand. It was first signed in 1840 at Waitangi in the Bay of Islands. The first Waitangi Day was celebrated in 1934.

If you feel like you need an extra challenge, or maybe something to give you an idea you can opt to write the following three items into your story: A gray tabby cat, a polished stone, and a delayed letter.
