Survival of the Human Race

A group of people emerge from a nuclear bomb shelter after a nuclear attack. Around them is decimation, with a number of dead or near dead everywhere. They appear to be the only survivals; do they encounter others like themselves? How, or do they survive? What happens?

The Rules

Any Genre.

The characters can be a group of all women, or all men, or a family with children.

Find a leader. Someone, or a number that vie for leadership.

Describe their difficulties. How they overcome them.

Will their new lives differ from before the holocaust, and why? Can they rebuild another society?

What is the world like outside of the bomb shelter?  What does it smell like, taste like, what can you hear, see or feel?
