NZ tourist

Will be visiting NZ right after the sf Worldcon (in Melbourne) the second week of September. Just wondering how touristy it is on the north island that time of year. And how springlike.

By the way, am I confused and unable to access them, or does it seem as if the 2.0 site has very few comments?
