KICK OFF TIME!
Kick Off.
Welcome to Southern Cross Novel Challenge 2010.
We hope you have a great experience with us, get many words written and create new friends.
Few things we need to remember during this month.
Eating, being hungry does not help you write.
Bathing, no one likes a smelly writer.
Sleeping, nose diving the keyboard hurts and a pen in the eye requires a doctors visit. (such wasted writing time).
Update your word count daily.
Save your work. PLEASE! Nothing is worse then loosing your hard work. USB drive, online storage, CD or email it to yourself.
Most of all HAVE FUN.
Its not the winning, its the creating of the story, its the pleasure of getting plot on paper.
If this is your first year doing the challenge, then write as much as you can the first week, then pace yourself the rest of the time.
SoCNoC brings together writers from all around the world, writers from all walks of life, writers of all levels of experience and even different languages.
Now stop reading this blog post and write. The day is young and the challenge has just begun.
Good advice.
Having participated in SoCNoC before with a broken finger I'd like to add no extreme sports! You hands and fingers are precious so put down the netball, the baseball bat, the rugby ball and look after them. Or you might just get to be really fast at typing with one hand. :)
