This is a thread for those of us who have been KiwiWriters members for a while, who introduced ourselves on the old site or perhaps never got round to it at all. Reply to this post with your answers.

NAME: Sam, or Samantha =)
LOCATION: Holland. I live about twenty minutes away from Amsterdam.
GENRES YOU WRITE IN: All sorts of genres. Usually it's a bit of a mix of romance/drama/comedy. But I did write a Torchwood fanfic a while ago, so I guess that counts as science fiction.
CURRENT WORK IN PROGRESS: A new Torchwood fanfic. A drama/romance story, that has no title yet. And a story that's set in the 80's. Or at least it begins in the 80's, and it goes on 'till 2010-ish. But I only just started that one =P Usually I write about ten things at the same time, and end up dumping 9 of them and finishing only one. So I always have a couple of unfinished stories for when I'm bored =P
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT WRITING?: Not a lot, really. I don't go to school anymore, I do everything at home. I just need to go to my final exams, and then I'm completely done. And I don't have a job, yet. I have a sickness, or whatever you wanna call it, that causes me to be tired all the time, and my bones always hurt and stuff. It sucks, but it does mean that I am home a lot. So I usually just write all day long, or watch some tv. Oh, and I watch a couple of soap operas XD It's fun, and there's always a lot of drama in it, and it sometimes gives me ideas for new stories. Not that I'm just copying the storyline of course, that would just be stealing =P And yeah, that's about it =)

Name: Cassie!
Location: Taranaki
Genres you write in: mostly speculative fiction, though it really depends on the story
Current work in progress: I have a lot of things in progress at the moment. Mostly working towards completing a good stash of short stories so that I can submit for the second half of the year when I envisage not having much time to write anything new. I've got some novels/novellas in mid first draft, and a fair few completed first drafts of novels too. They'll all get finished eventually.
What do you do when you're not writing?: Grow babies? haha, I'm a full time stay at home mum, and I love it. My eldest started school this year which was exciting, the little one is in toddlerhood now and the new baby will be arriving in a couple months time.

Working on: Sun-Touched

What do you do when you're not writing?: I watch movies if I'm at home, read books if I'm away at school. I don't spend a lot of time writing, but I'm hoping to remedy that.

I'm Travis Cottreau - one of the original kiwiwriters. I'm happy to be back on board with Kiwiwriters 2.0. I'm a Canadian living in Wellington City. I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, although my theory is that I will like anything that is good.

I get books far faster than I read them, despite trying many, many times to curtail that habit, books seem to appear in front of me when I least expect it. I get in to my desk at work and there is a book waiting for me to read. I attact books, which I think is fantastic, although I do have a pang of guilt every once in a while that I can remove by reading a book. :) The best books for me are the ones that immerse me. Anything that pulls you out of the story is a bad thing.

Andy Chilton introduced me to Nanowrimo in 2006 and I've done it every year since. I'm a huge fan and was involved in Kiwiwriters from its inception, and have done SoCNoC every year since 2007. That makes 7 novels total since 2006 - and still counting of course. I tend to write science fiction, although I've tried thriller and scripture as tangents.

Other interesting include running, tennis, golf and movies. I am married, with no kids and one cat. I'm a sofware engineer by trade and lead a group with 17 developers and testers.

Name: Frizzi

Location: Wisconsin. I'm a 45 minute drive from Oshkosh; an hour if you start out in Appleton. :D

Genres you write in: I'd say romance/fantasy is my main area

Current work in progress: I have a few works in progress, also a lot of stories that I just started and have to promise myself not to work on until I get my current works done. :D LOL, I can't seem to help myself!

What do you do when you're not writing?: I read, watch movies, and do a horrible thing called work. I work as a clerk for my neighbor's auction service. I was a ring person a couple of times and liked that a lot, but I'm the head clerk and am needed there more. I don't have to work as often, though, so I'm also holding down the fort back at home, which is when I do the first two things... and write. LOL
