When will it become possible to begin posting interim word counts? I have looked through every part of the web site I can think of, and I am not seeing anything relating to word (or even page) counts.

HeatherCC09, you aren't the only person who seems to be confused by this.  To update your word count, go into the Challenges tab and click on the SoCNoC challenge.  At the top of the list, there is a shaded out area with an edit button.

Click on edit, and it will open up this area.

Change the attendance to Particiipant

Put the total amount of words you have done in the Word Count, then Save.  There, you are updated!

Did you click on the little arrow on the right hand side of the box?  If so, this drops down the box.  If it doesn't, let us know and we will see what we can do to fix this.

I've added an item to the Site Help for this and put in on the home page as our Featured How To.

I can't change my participant status either. It sounds to me like a Drupal permissions error - you keep pointing out exactly where the button is for you, but the rest of us can't see it.

Under User Management/Permissions (you should be able to access it directly at http://kiwiwriters.org/admin/user/permissions if you're the admin), make sure that authenticated users or whatever we're called have the appropriate button checked.

I do Drupal for a living. ;)
