Christchurch meetup
Hey Folks, Just wondering how many South Islanders we have, and whether you'd be keen for a Christchurch meetup. I know we've had a good bunch for NaNo meetups for the past couple of years. Jot down a reply if you're keen and I'll look into organising it. My immediate location thought is at or near Le Cafe at the arts centre. Feel free to suggest other locations
Hello *waves* I tried to prompt a Chch meetup back in KiwiWriters v.1 but got no bites. I'd be keen, depending on when and where.
Cos I'm in Riccarton I'd be keen for it to be over this side ;) but the arts centre is probably more appropriate.

I'm in Christchurch and keen for a meet, too. But like everyone, it will depend a lot on the where and when.
Christchurch as well but as above when and where.
I would love to catch up with other writers from around the area as well. We should really stop talking about it on a year-old thread and decide something. ;)
Rather radical idea you have there dizzy. Shall we do process of elimination or suggestion?
I've got work during the week but reasonably flexible during weekends provided enough notice. As suggested above somewhere central would probably be fairest.
Also if there are any crazy people who believes the early bird gets the worm the time should be after 10:00 am.
PS The moral of the above story is the worm should have slept in :)
How about we meet in the first weekend of February, at a good cafe in the city? If there's anyone out there with ideas, please jump in and say so :)
To be honest, I really don't know any cafes in the city... but early Feb. might be a good time. Not sure yet, due to a pending trip to the capital which may fall at the time we agree.
But, I would love to meet other locals.
Looks like we might have a similar problem this year. I was sure there must be more Christchurch people on here!
