Dear fellow writers

I am writing with a personal request. I need your help.

New Zealand is a country with a strong spiritual energy, and it is only fitting that we have a strong spiritual voice also. My name is Robyn M Speed, I am a writer, and I have entered the Next Top Spiritual Author Competition. I apologise for this intrusion on your day … but I am asking for your help.

The Next Top Spiritual Author Competition is underway! It is a global competition. Voting has opened and I am promoting myself and seeking support wherever I can.
I have entered the competition with my visionary fiction manuscript, Dimension’s Doorway, which was a Merit Award winner in the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Unpublished Manuscript Award 2005. (The following year I won the Award with my manuscript The Key, which has been submitted to a publisher in America.) Judges described Dimension’s Doorway as a “highly original novel”.
How the competition works:
The Next Top Spiritual Author Competition has four rounds:
Round 1 - participants submit an audio or video pitch, then rally everyone they know, and even people they don’t know, and market themselves. It was decided that this would give participants a “real life experience of publishing and promoting a book”. The votes we gain from our efforts, random votes from people who visit the site, and the vote from a peer assessment (which will be 25% of the final score) create the final tally. The 250 with the highest number of votes will proceed to round 2.
Round 2 - participants write and submit a book proposal to a panel of judges. Their assessment will make up the majority vote. 25 will continue on to round 3.
Round 3 - participants submit two chapters of their work. Five will be selected to continue.
Round 4 - the final five submit one more chapter and a book outline. From that five a winner is selected, and will be offered a publishing contract by Hampton Roads Publishing.
I invite you to visit my profile. I need all the support I can get. I need people to say, “Hey, here is a really good Kiwi writer. Please support her with your vote.”
What is so original about my work? Current visionary fiction titles were met with hunger and were devoured voraciously be readers. But what next? I have spoken to people as I promote my entry into this competition, and there is a hunger for more, for something deeper, something greater. Dimension’s Doorway is the next step. This novel leads on from where all other visionary fiction stopped.
The link on the card (http://www.NextTopAuthor.com/?aid=566) will take you to my profile page. Here you can read a little about me and listen to my short audio pitch. You do need to register in order to vote, but that is a simple process. I have also promised that if people vote and let me know they have voted I will send them a copy of Chapter One (it’s only 5 pages) as a thank you. I will also put all names into a draw, and when (thinking positively here) I win I will draw out one name and that person will receive a free copy of every novel I write.
Round 1 opened on 29th March, and after I had my cards printed they extended close of the voting from 25th April to 3rd May.
This competition gives readers the chance to decide what they want to see published. It is my hope that you would like to see Dimension’s Doorway published.
