2010

Four days to Go. No blog sunday.

Everyone should be busy, writing away at their novels.

Nearing the end

We are nearing the end of SoCNoC. *Cue ominous music* I'm in the 'last minute' writing group.  My worst fear is that the writer’s block I have been plagued with will come back to haunt me over this last weekend, ripping my word count to shreds.  I'm all about prevention, and I think the first step to solving a problem is figuring out why you have it in the first place.  So, what is writer’s block and why does it occur?

I can see clearly now the brain has gone.

Keep on keeping on

Keep on keeping on …

So we’re heading into the third week of SocNoc.  For me (and probably for most of us), it’s been a full-on couple of weeks, yet that 50,000 word winning post still seems a fair way ahead over the distant horizon.  It’s that time when you need to get your head down and, in the words of Bob Dylan, keep on keeping on.

BlackSheep's advice on SoCNoC winning.

This time last year, I was just beginning my first attempt at SoCNoC. I had my story ready, a few thousand words written, and I was all set to reach 50,000 words by the end of June. After all, I told myself, I'd already won NaNo twice. How hard could it be?

KICK OFF TIME!

Kick Off.
Welcome to Southern Cross Novel Challenge 2010.
We hope you have a great experience with us, get many words written and create new friends.
